Fieldwell CBD / Take 9 Website Design Review — Oct 17 2025
Overview
Design review session for the Fieldwell CBD and Take 9 ecommerce websites. Karly Oykhman (Asymmetric) walked Caitlin Doak (American Extractions / Fieldwell) through the staged site page by page, collecting feedback and decisions across homepage, shop, product detail pages, blog, contact, and About Us. Several open technical and content questions were resolved. American Extractions site edits were confirmed near-complete with a Monday morning launch planned.

Homepage
- Hero image and copy: Approved as-is.
- Best sellers section: Will be dynamic based on actual purchase data once live.
- Product label callouts: Simplify to THC and CBD only — remove terpenes, CBG, CBN, and other minor cannabinoid callouts from the ingredient highlight area.
- ShopBod section: Approved.
- About Us homepage section: Use "Delta 9 THC" for accuracy and SEO; keeping standalone "Delta 9" and "THC" instances is acceptable for search targeting.
- Potency chart: Colors left as-is.
- Stick pack / responsive layout: Check that the stick pack image does not obscure green text at intermediate breakpoints; adjust z-index or crop if needed.
- Footer: Add 20% off subscribe incentive copy; remove the word "newsletter." Fix typo: "wellness" was misspelled in the header/footer area.
Navigation & Branding
- Header and footer navigation approved.
- Apply TM to "Fieldwell" throughout.
- "Take9" spelling to be corrected wherever it appears as two words or hyphenated.
Shop Page
- Rotating hero images: Approved. Need a Fieldwell-branded variant added alongside the existing Take9 variant so each brand's category page shows its own hero.
- Hero text accuracy: Fix copy that incorrectly references "Fieldwell" under the Take9 hero.
- "Find Your Gummy" CTA: Add a button to the Take9 hero linking to a dedicated gummy selector/guide page (to be built). This page should present the product comparison content currently on the old site but without the heavy colored backgrounds — use dividers or plain layout instead.
- Product filtering (benefits): Reviewed and approved. Confirm all benefit tags are added; cross-check against Caitlin's prior feedback doc.
- Pet products: Caitlin to confirm pet tincture inventory availability before including in the live shop.
Product Detail Pages (PDP)
- Potency / size options: Variants are mocked up but not yet on staging — push to staging.
- Category label: Fix incorrect category shown on PDP.
- Ingredient icon: Correct the misspelling of "ingredients" on the icon.
- Pot leaf icons: Remove from ingredient/attribute listing area.
- Attribute listing: List attributes as plain text, not as scaled bar charts — cleaner across varied product types.
- Related products: Ensure at least 3 related products appear on every PDP.
Blog Page
- Add a search bar.
- Update the header banner (currently looks unfinished/placeholder).
- Remove author attribution from post listings and individual posts.
- Remove comments section.
Contact Page
- Layout approved.
- Update header banner to match the improved style being applied to blog and other interior pages.
About Us Page
- Header images: Vary the product selection and arrangement across page headers so they don't look identical to the homepage hero. A few different compositions should be prepared.
- Hero image: Current image is poorly cropped — half the frame is empty. Replace or re-crop.
- Extraction copy: Rework the section that implies Fieldwell owns its extraction process. Messaging should convey access to premium, whole-spectrum extraction without naming American Extractions or claiming ownership. The goal is deliberate distance between the two brands.

Technical Notes
- WooCommerce is used for product catalog management only.
- Square is the required payment processor — standard payment gateways (including WooCommerce Payments) do not accept CBD/THC transactions.
- No site launches on Fridays (agency policy) to ensure the team can monitor post-launch issues during business hours.
