Key Decisions


Conversion Tracking Correction

The ChatGPT analysis of the BluepointATM campaign report flagged suspiciously low CPAs, prompting a review of what was being counted as a conversion. Investigation confirmed that page views were included as a conversion action under Goals.

Steps taken:
1. Navigated to Goals → Conversions → Summary in Google Ads.
2. Identified the Page View conversion action as active.
3. Removed the page view action from the conversion goal set.
4. Confirmed remaining conversion actions: phone calls, outbound clicks, PDF downloads, contact form submissions, click-to-email.

Impact: Google Ads will not recalculate historical conversion data. Reports prior to October 8, 2025 will reflect inflated conversion counts. New conversion data should begin appearing within 2–3 days of the change.

Action item: Gilbert to message Anup confirming that page views, scroll events, and sessions are not counted as conversions anywhere in the account. These may be added as observations only.


ChatGPT Project Workflow — BluepointATM

How It Works

  1. In ChatGPT Plus, create a Project named for the client and month (e.g., Bluepoint ATM Google Ads — October 2025).
  2. Download reports from Google Ads as Excel/CSV files:
    - Campaign report
    - Ad group report
    - Keyword report
    - Search term report (via Insights & Reports → Search Terms)
    - Negative keyword report (via Keywords → Negative Keywords tab)
  3. Upload all reports to the project via Add Files.
  4. Add context notes directly in the project — e.g., "Page views removed as a conversion goal on October 8, 2025. Past conversion totals are inflated."
  5. Ask ChatGPT to analyze performance, surface issues, and recommend optimizations.
