Marketing Sync — 2025-12-01
Overview
Weekly marketing sync between [1] and Asymmetric. Meeting covered a Cyber Monday pricing error on the hunting bike, a Twilio SMS setup blocker, review of a marketing video draft, EFlow manual redesign progress, and a request for a website inventory audit.
Attendees:
- Steve Lindenau — Crazy Lenny's (client)
- Karly Oykhman — Asymmetric
- Avokerie Onorimuo — Asymmetric
Key Decisions
- Blitz emails approved — No edits requested; Karly to schedule for send.
- SMS flyer designs approved — Both versions accepted; QR code to be swapped in once Twilio account is active.
- Marketing video needs revisions — Add Crazy Lenny's logo; slow down text overlays so they're readable. Steve to provide full written feedback after the call.
- EFlow manuals will be redesigned — Rather than uploading raw spreadsheet-style files, Asymmetric will produce designed, user-friendly versions for the website. Drafts due EOW.
- Battery button / side button confirmed as same button — Design blocker on the EFlow manual resolved during the call.
Issues & Blockers
Cyber Monday Pricing Error
The hunting bike was accidentally included in the Cyber Monday sale at $2,650, despite Evan having emailed to exclude it. The standard price is $3,000. Customers who purchased at full price the prior week may request a $350 refund. Steve acknowledged the error and indicated he would honor refund requests to avoid customer friction.
"If somebody paid $3,000 last week, it's on sale now for $2,650, they come in all pissed off and said, why didn't you tell me? So, I mean, we pay them the difference." — Steve Lindenau
Status: Error already live; no rollback possible. Refund exposure accepted by client.
Twilio SMS Setup — Face Scan Blocker
Twilio's identity verification flow requires a face scan matched to a government-issued ID. Karly cannot complete this step remotely on Steve's behalf. During the call, the setup appeared to resume working after the driver's license step completed, but the face scan requirement may resurface.
Resolution path: Karly to continue setup; escalate to Steve if blocked again.
Topics
SMS Marketing Program
- Goal: build an in-store SMS subscriber list using QR code flyers.
- Two flyer designs reviewed and approved by Steve.
- QR code placeholder in current designs; functional code will be generated once Twilio account is fully active.
- Platform: [2]
Marketing Video (Dan)
- Draft video reviewed on-screen during the call (audio did not come through for Steve).
- Karly to send video link to Steve post-call for async review.
- Known feedback going into revision:
- Add Crazy Lenny's logo
- Extend duration of text overlay sections — some are too fast to read
- Steve expected to provide additional notes same day (Monday, quiet day at the shop).
EFlow Bike Manuals
- Evan had previously requested EFlow guides be added to the website.
- Asymmetric design team is reformatting the raw manuals into a cleaner, more user-friendly layout.
- Design question resolved: the battery button and side button on the E-Flux are the same button.
- Drafts to be delivered to Steve by end of week (2025-12-05).
- Once approved, manuals and EFlow bike listings will be published to the website together.
Website Inventory Audit
- Website inventory has not been updated since April 2025.
- EFlow bikes need to be added; other listings may be stale.
- Steve will review the live site and send Karly a list of bikes to add and remove.
