Overview
As of the March 2026 strategy sync, Old World Popcorn's website has been brought to a perfect site health score of 100 following SEO configuration work by Mark. However, the site currently has minimal keyword rankings and no meaningful organic traffic. The immediate priorities are content creation and launching Google Shopping ads via a newly configured Merchant Center account.

"The site's in really good shape now. It's at 100. But we don't have any keywords or traffic. So we need to get some content on there."
The site was previously poorly configured from an SEO standpoint and has been remediated. The foundation is solid; growth now depends on content and paid traffic.
Content Strategy
- Status: Content is in progress; the team expects to have material ready in the near term.
- Approach: Karly confirmed the team is working on content for Old World and expects to have items together soon.
- Recommendation: Prioritize content that targets product-relevant keywords (popcorn, specialty food, etc.) to begin building organic keyword rankings alongside paid efforts.
- Opportunity: Use Surfer SEO to optimize new content before publishing, consistent with the approach being applied to [2].
Google Shopping & Merchant Center
Setup
Mark configured a Google Merchant Center account for Old World as a subaccount under the agency's main account structure (alongside Doodla). Products have been submitted.
Current Status (as of meeting date)
- Products submitted: 2 products
- Review status: "Under review" — expected approval within 24–48 hours
- Free traffic: Once approved, Google may serve products organically in Shopping results when no competing bids exist
Next Steps
- Gilbert is assigned to build out Google Shopping ad campaigns once Merchant Center products are approved.
