Microsite Scaled Down — 2025-09-29
Overview
Following a meeting between Mark and the Quora Italia client, the scope of the Quora Italia website was significantly reduced. What had been planned as a full-featured Italian-language site is now scoped as a microsite of approximately 3–4 pages, with remaining content linking back to the main U.S. Quora Stone website.
This decision was discussed during the [1] as part of Karly Oykhman's return briefing.
Scope Change
- Previous scope: Full Italian-language website
- New scope: Microsite with ~3–4 pages
- Overflow content: Links back to the existing U.S. Quora Stone site rather than being built out in Italian
"Really, what it's going to be is that the Quora Italia site's going to be kind of a micro site with maybe three, three or four pages. And then anything to do with anything other than those three or four pages would just link back to the U.S. site." — Mark Hope
Current Status (as of 2025-09-29)
- Designer: Łukasz Bugajski is working on the homepage
- Blockers: Waiting on images and content from the Italian team
- Internal friction: Łukasz is reportedly frustrated with the Italian team's slow turnaround, which is attributed to the Italian team's dissatisfaction with the scaled-down approach — they wanted a more robust site
- Team position: Mark characterized this as the client's issue, not a delivery problem on Asymmetric's side
"Lincoln's a little annoyed with the Italians because the Italians are dragging their feet because it's not what they want to do." — Melissa Cusumano
"This isn't a problem for us. We're on top of it. We've got everything we need to have. It's their issue right now." — Mark Hope
