MS Teams–Salesforce Integration Blockers (2026-03-13)
Overview
During the [1], Mark and Karly investigated Quora's request to integrate Microsoft Teams with their Salesforce instance. The integration turned out to be more complex than anticipated and is currently blocked pending action from Quora's IT provider.
Status
⛔ BLOCKED — Awaiting Azure admin access and IT provider coordination from Quora (Vith)
What Was Discovered
The Teams–Salesforce integration is not a simple API connection. It requires manual configuration in two separate systems:
- Salesforce side — standard connector setup
- Azure portal side — manual app registration and permissions configuration requiring admin-level access to Quora's Azure tenant
This is a process that cannot be completed by Asymmetric without direct access to Quora's Azure environment.
Blockers
| Blocker | Details |
|---|---|
| Azure admin access | Requires admin rights to Quora's Azure portal, controlled by their IT provider Vith |
| Visual Studio Professional License | Required to access the MS Teams Developer Sandbox for integration setup |
Neither of these is currently available to Asymmetric.
Action Required
- Karly to email Lincoln (Quora contact) explaining the blockers and requesting one of the following:
- Direct contact at Vith (IT provider) with Azure admin access to complete the Azure-side setup
- Or Vith to be sent step-by-step instructions to perform the configuration themselves
