DNS Transfer to Cloudflare — Seamless

Overview

The Seamless domain (sbswi.com) is currently registered and hosted through SiteGround under a client-owned account. The goal is to transfer DNS control into Asymmetric's Cloudflare account ahead of the planned site launch during the week of March 16, 2026. Once nameservers are pointed at Cloudflare, the IP address can be changed at any time without requiring client involvement.

Current Status

Blocked. SiteGround login requires a 2FA verification code sent to Chris's contact on file. The credentials themselves (stored in LastPass) are valid — the 2FA step is the only remaining obstacle.

What Needs to Happen

  1. Melissa obtains the 2FA code from Chris (can be done async via text/email to Chris).
  2. Mark logs into SiteGround and changes the nameservers to point at Cloudflare.
  3. Once nameservers propagate, Asymmetric has full DNS control.
  4. When the site is ready to go live, Mark updates the A record / IP address — no client call required.

"We just need to get in and then I just need to change the name servers and it'll take me one minute… And then as soon as we change the name servers, we have control. And then when the moment's right that we want to change the IP address, I can do that." — Mark Hope
