Doudlah Donation Page Strategy

Overview

Doudlah Farms launched a donation page on their website offering both one-time and recurring subscription donation options. The page is live but undergoing iterative improvements: adding physical donor perks (jackets, engraved plaques), connecting to a dedicated bank account, and refining the UI to avoid confusion with the primary shopping flow.

This article captures the current state, design decisions, and outstanding work as of the March 27, 2026 sync.

Design Decisions

Button Color

The "Donate" button in the site header sits adjacent to the "Shop Now" button. To avoid user confusion between the two CTAs, the button should use a distinct color — yellow was the preferred option discussed, as it provides contrast without clashing with the existing brand palette.

"We certainly don't want to confuse anybody with the Shop Now button." — Mark Doudlah

Separate Bank Account

Donation proceeds currently flow into the main Doudlah Farms bank account. The team agreed a dedicated account makes financial tracking cleaner and provides clearer separation for donors. This is pending Mark providing the new account details to Karly.
