Blog Content Strategy — Overhead Door
Overview
Asymmetric is producing a 10-post blog series for [1] as part of their broader SEO strategy. Blog content is keyword-optimized to support organic search rankings and works in conjunction with the [2] initiative to improve the site's overall search visibility.
Current Status
| Batch | Count | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Batch 1 | 5 posts | Sent to client for review |
| Batch 2 | 5 posts | In production; delivery imminent |
As of the November 5, 2025 meeting, the first five posts had been delivered and Jeff and John (client contacts) were asked to comment directly on the drafts. The second batch of five was expected to follow shortly after.
Keyword Optimization Approach
Blog copy is written to target specific search keywords rather than purely for readability. This can result in prose that feels slightly stilted or AI-generated to a human reader. This is an intentional trade-off: keyword density and phrasing are prioritized to signal relevance to search engines.
"A lot of the copy there is going to be optimized for certain keywords… sometimes that language is sounding good because we're trying to fit in some of those keywords." — Sebastian Gant, 2025-11-05 meeting
Client guidance: Reviewers should evaluate posts with this context in mind. Feedback on factual accuracy, brand voice, and any claims that need adjustment is welcome, but some degree of keyword-driven phrasing is expected and intentional.
Review Process
- Client contacts (Jeff Ryan, John Gradel) review drafts by commenting directly on shared documents
- Same process used for Batch 1; Batch 2 will follow the same workflow
- Sebastian Gant (@Asymmetric) is responsible for sending drafts and incorporating feedback
SEO Context
Blog content is one component of a multi-layered SEO effort. Its effectiveness is influenced by:
- Domain Rating (DR): Currently at 15; a [3] has been approved to raise this to 30+. A higher DR increases the likelihood that blog posts rank competitively for target keywords.
- Site Health Score: Currently at 99/100 in Ahrefs — strong foundation for content indexing.
- Backlink profile: Being improved via the DR boost service, which uses backlinking and referring domains to raise authority.
