ATM Screen Branding Assets — BluePoint ATM
Overview
BluePoint ATM is rolling out branded welcome and transaction screens across all newly installed ATMs. Images are delivered via SD card loaded onto each machine at installation. This article captures the scope, messaging guidelines, and asset requirements discussed in the [1] strategy call on January 14, 2026.
This is a new initiative — BluePoint has not previously customized ATM screen graphics despite the capability being available.
Screen Types
1. Welcome Screen
Displayed when the ATM is idle or greeting a new user.
Purpose: Brand recognition + user instruction
Required elements:
- BluePoint ATM logo (vertical lockup preferred; white on brand-color background)
- Welcome message
- Payment method instructions:
- Insert card
- Tap card
- Tap phone (NFC/contactless)
Design notes:
- Keep it simple and scannable — users glance at this screen briefly
- No QR codes (a physical QR code already exists on the ATM hardware; a second one on-screen risks confusion)
- Wade's preference: clean, all-white or brand-color treatment with the vertical BluePoint ATM logo
2. Transaction Processing Screen
Displayed while a transaction is in progress (e.g., dispensing bills).
Purpose: Reassure the user; maintain brand presence
Required elements:
- "Your transaction is processing" (or equivalent reassurance copy)
- BluePoint ATM logo + tagline/slogan
Design notes:
- The ATM supports up to ~6 scrolling images during a transaction; BluePoint intends to use only 1 to keep it simple
- Avoid any instruction copy (e.g., "insert card") that would be confusing mid-transaction
File Specifications
⚠️ Specs pending. Wade Zirkle is responsible for sending exact file requirements to Karly Oykhman. Do not begin production until specs are received.
Expected variables to confirm:
- File format(s) (e.g., PNG, BMP, JPEG)
- Screen resolution / pixel dimensions (may vary by ATM model)
- Number of distinct screen sizes to support
- Number of image slots per screen type
- Color profile requirements
Delivery Method
Images are loaded onto an SD card that is inserted into each ATM at installation. This means:
- Assets must be finalized before ATMs ship or are installed
- Updates require physical SD card replacement (not remote)
Action Items
| Owner | Task |
|---|---|
| Wade Zirkle | Email Karly the ATM screen specs: file types, pixel dimensions, number of images per screen |
