La Natura Packaging Sticker Specifications
Confirmed sticker design requirements for La Natura's USA market entry, established during the April 2026 packaging and compliance call.
Sticker Approach
- One sticker per product set — a single sticker approach was confirmed, replacing an earlier version where some products had multiple stickers with inconsistent UPC placement.
- The single sticker is applied to the bottom of the packaging.
Required Sticker Elements
| Element | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| UPC code | ✅ Yes | Must appear on the bottom sticker |
| Address | ✅ Yes | Importer/distributor address |
| Product description | ✅ Yes | Brief description of the product |
| Full ingredient panel | ❌ No | Not required on secondary packaging |
| Nutrition facts | ❌ No | Not required on secondary packaging |
Secondary Packaging Regulations
No food labeling regulations apply to secondary (outer) packaging. The sticker requirements above are sufficient for USA compliance on secondary packaging. Full ingredient declarations and nutrition information belong on the primary (inner) product packaging only.
"There's no food regulations on the secondary packaging."
— Mark Hope, April 2026 call
Print File Status
As of the April 2026 call, Matt was instructed to proceed with finalizing print files based on the confirmed single-sticker specification. Dubravka Kukic coordinated this handoff.
Background
An earlier sticker draft submitted by Matt had inconsistent UPC placement — some product stickers included the code, others did not. This was flagged by Mark Hope and resolved by adopting the single bottom sticker with mandatory UPC. The approach was modeled in part on the Rosso packaging workflow, which used a separate sticker for the UPC, but La Natura simplified this to one sticker.
