Skaalen Independent Living Flyer — Re-export
Overview
During the February 2026 monthly marketing call, it emerged that [1]'s contact Dawn Zaemisch had been working from an outdated version of the Independent Living flyer — one that still included crop marks. The current clean version (updated November 2023, with a final export dated December 2023) exists in Asymmetric's project files but was not the copy Dawn had on hand. Melissa agreed to re-export the flyer without crop marks and send it to Dawn.
Problem
Dawn opened a copy of the Independent Living flyer from her local files dated January 2022. After some digging, she located a more recent version (March 2025), but that file also contained crop marks — making it unsuitable for direct distribution or printing by non-production staff.
The presence of crop marks caused confusion: Dawn had nearly sent the marked-up version to a prospect.
Resolution
Melissa confirmed the correct source file exists (last updated November 2023, PDF exported December 4, 2023) and agreed to re-export it with crop marks disabled before sending to Dawn.
Dawn: "It has the crop marks. I need one that doesn't have crop marks, I guess is what I need."
Melissa: "Okay... I need to update the images. You don't need to watch me do this. I can just send it to you later."

Notes
- The flyer file history spans back to at least 2022, with a meaningful content update in November 2023 (removal of nursing-related language).
- Asymmetric should consider establishing a clear naming convention and single-source delivery folder for client-facing print files to prevent version confusion in the future.
- Dawn's copy may have come from an early proof sent during production; ensure the final clean export is the only version shared going forward.
