VCEDC Blog Post Design Refinement

Overview

During the January 2026 site touch base, Melissa identified that the blog post layouts built by Isahaque had lost design fidelity compared to the original mockups. The posts were functional but visually underdeveloped — too sparse and long relative to what was designed. Melissa committed to sending Isahaque detailed written feedback to guide corrections.

This is a polish pass, not a structural rebuild. The underlying Elementor setup is sound; the issues are cosmetic and layout-level.

Issues Identified

1. Columns Too Long / Layout Too Loose

The blog post columns extend further than intended, creating excessive whitespace and a "stretched" feel. The target is a tighter, more compact layout that matches the density of the original mockups.

2. Grainy Image

At least one image in the blog post layout appears grainy. Root cause is unknown — could be a low-resolution source file, incorrect export settings, or improper sizing within the Elementor container. Needs investigation before a fix is applied.

3. Missing Design Elements from Mockups

When posts were migrated or rebuilt, some visual design elements present in the original mockups were dropped. The posts currently look "basic" relative to what was approved. Melissa will provide specific callouts from the mockup for Isahaque to reference.

• All blog/news pages are built in Elementor; changes should be made there
• This work is lower priority than the broken Events page fix — Events takes precedence given the Jan 20th event deadline
• Tracey (client-side contact) noted the blog migration itself "worked out great" — the issues are purely visual, not functional
