SOAR Course — Co-pilot Module
Part of the [1] [2] project. This article documents the agreed refinements to the Co-pilot module as of the March 6, 2026 working session with Gus Donelson.
Overview
The Co-pilot module was reviewed and several changes were identified: placeholder videos need to be replaced with seller-perspective recordings from Gus, a data retention callout needs to be added, the Prompt Cowboy activity needs to be removed and replaced with a native Co-pilot prompt, and Isalia's recorded segments need to be re-recorded due to audio quality issues.
Agreed Changes
Video Content
- Current state: Placeholder videos recorded by Isalia stand in for the seller-perspective content.
- Decision: Gus will record new video segments in his own voice and tone to replace the placeholders.
- Process: Isalia will provide Gus with a high-level outline for each required video segment so he can record independently or on a future call.
- Gus's rationale: he wants the seller's voice and pacing, not a training-script delivery.
Co-pilot Data Retention Callout
- Decision: Add a callout stating that Co-pilot retains data for approximately 6 months.
- Rationale: Gus tested his own Co-pilot history live during the session and confirmed access back to November 2025 (roughly 5–6 months). The "approximately 6 months" framing provides a safe, accurate range without overpromising.
- The callout should note that older data may be less relevant even if accessible.
Prompt Cowboy — Removed
- Decision: Remove the Prompt Cowboy activity entirely from the module.
- Rationale: The tool generates prompts that are pages long — far too complex and impractical for the course's audience. Neither Gus nor Isalia found it useful in testing.
- Prompt Cowboy may be mentioned briefly as a tip/resource callout (since some salespeople use it), but it will not be the basis of any activity.
Replacement Activity — Native Co-pilot Prompt
- Decision: The hands-on activity will use a prompt written directly in Co-pilot (web or internal version).
- Isalia will design the activity around a Co-pilot-native prompt so learners stay in the tool they'll actually use.
Audio Re-record (Isalia's Segments)
- Issue: Isalia's recorded video segments have a crackling audio problem caused by a poor internet connection during the original recording session.
- Decision: Isalia will re-record her segments when she has a stable connection.
- Gus's existing recorded content was confirmed to be good — pacing and clarity were fine; only the crackling was flagged.
