SMS Marketing Setup — Crazy Lenny's

Overview

Asymmetric is setting up an SMS marketing program for [1] using Twilio. The goal is to build a customer opt-in list via in-store QR code flyers, then use that list for ongoing promotional text campaigns. As of the December 2025 sync, setup is nearly complete but was temporarily blocked by an identity verification step.

Current Status

In progress — Twilio account setup nearly resolved.

The Twilio account requires identity verification including a driver's license upload and a face scan. Because the account is registered under Steve Lindenau (the client), Karly could not complete the face scan remotely. During the meeting, the platform appeared to progress past the blocker, but full resolution is pending confirmation.

"It was asking to do, like, a face scan, which I could obviously not do with a matching driver's license. But it seems to be working now. So I'll let you know, though, if we have any more issues with it."

Twilio Setup Blocker

Step Status
Driver's license upload ✅ Completed (Steve provided)
Face scan verification ⚠️ Partially resolved — monitoring
Account activation ⏳ Pending
QR code generation ⏳ Blocked until account is active

Escalation path: If the face scan issue recurs, Steve will need to complete the verification step in person or via a direct Twilio session.

In-Store SMS Flyer Designs

Two flyer versions were designed for in-store display to drive customer opt-ins. Both designs were reviewed and approved by Steve in the December 2025 meeting with no requested edits.

Once the Twilio account is confirmed active, the workflow is:
1. Generate the opt-in QR code from Twilio
2. Update both flyer designs with the live QR code
3. Print and deploy flyers in-store
