Quarra Microsoft Integration Blockers

Overview

Salesforce currently lacks the permissions required to create or modify files and folders on Quarra's internal server. This single blocker prevents progress on all four planned Microsoft integrations. Until server access is granted by Quarra's IT team, none of these integrations can be completed.

Blocked Integrations

All four of the following initiatives are stalled pending the same underlying fix:

  1. Outlook integration — syncing email activity with Salesforce records
  2. Microsoft Teams integration — connecting team communication to Salesforce
  3. Automated folder creation — triggering SharePoint/server folder creation when a new Opportunity is created in Salesforce
  4. Proposal generation — pulling templates from the server and writing generated proposals back to it

Root Cause

Salesforce can be coded to trigger file and folder creation events, but it has no write access to Quarra's server or drive. As Mark Hope explained in the meeting:

"We can write the code in Salesforce to say, when this happens, create this file. But we don't have the ability right now to edit your drive or your server... We need to somehow figure out how we can get permissions to create folders and files."

The code-side work is ready to proceed; the blocker is purely an access/permissions issue on Quarra's infrastructure.

Resolution Path

Lincoln Durham agreed to delegate the following to Lisa:

"I'm going to have Lisa seek them out to set up a kind of introductory call where we can go through our four things and cut them loose." — Lincoln Durham
