BluePoint ClickUp Task Submission Process
Overview
BluePoint ATM and Asymmetric use a shared ClickUp workspace for task management. A critical process issue was identified: tasks submitted from a personal ClickUp workspace are not visible to the Asymmetric team. All requests must go through the shared dashboard using the designated form.
This process also governs the monthly analytics reporting cadence.
Task Submission: Required Process
The Problem
When BluePoint team members (Wade, Mike) create tasks inside their own personal ClickUp workspace, those tasks exist in an isolated space that Asymmetric cannot access. This causes requests to go unactioned with no visibility on either side.
The Solution
All task requests must be submitted using one of two methods, both accessed from the shared BluePoint dashboard:
- Ask Request Form — Scroll down on the shared dashboard to the "Ask Request Form" tab, fill it out, and submit. This is the preferred method.
- Backlog Task Entry — From within the shared dashboard, add a task directly to the backlog. The form will step you through the required fields.
⚠️ Do not create tasks from your personal ClickUp workspace. Asymmetric will not see them.
Pending Example
As of the Oct 22 call, Wade needed to resend the blue cashless logo — the original submission was found in Wade's personal workspace and never reached Asymmetric. The corrected action: resend via the Ask Request Form on the shared dashboard.
Monthly Analytics Report
Cadence
- Asymmetric pulls analytics after the last day of each month (e.g., after the 31st).
- The compiled report is delivered before the 5th of the following month, ideally the day before the standing monthly call so BluePoint can review ahead of time.
- If the report isn't delivered before the call, it will be reviewed live on the call.
Report Format
- A PDF export of the Looker Studio dashboard (even though the live version is accessible).
- A summary document calling out the specific highlights and KPIs Mike specified in ClickUp (submitted Oct 22).
- Covers channels including: Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, SEO/organic traffic, and lead sources.
Related Notes
- The ClickUp guest/dashboard permission setup is still being refined with a consultant — the current configuration limits guest users from commenting if restricted to a single dashboard view.
