ClickUp Standardization Initiative
Overview
Asymmetric is undertaking an agency-wide effort to standardize how ClickUp is used across teams and client projects. The initiative is being driven by an external consultant who is producing documentation to guide implementation. Internal staff are responsible for completing prerequisite training and then executing the standardization work based on the consultant's deliverables.
Current Status
As of the November 10, 2025 standup, the initiative is in early implementation:
- Isalia Ramirez is the primary internal owner of the standardization work
- She has approximately two Agility modules remaining before beginning ClickUp standardization tasks
- The consultant's documentation is being awaited before full implementation can proceed
- Individual team members (e.g., Ben San Fratello) are also being asked to clean up and update their own ClickUp entries as a parallel effort
Goals
- Establish consistent ClickUp structure, naming conventions, and workflows across all client projects and internal operations
- Reduce friction and ambiguity in task management across a distributed team
- Align ClickUp usage with guidance produced by the external consultant
Implementation Notes
- Prerequisite training: Agility platform modules are being completed before standardization begins, suggesting the initiative is tied to a broader operational maturity effort
- Consultant dependency: The documentation from the external consultant is a key input; progress on standardization is gated on receiving that material
- Individual hygiene: Alongside the top-down standardization, team members are expected to self-audit and clean up their own ClickUp workspaces
