Didion Masa Arepa Landing Page Overhaul
Overview
During a December 2025 working session, Diana Henry (Didion) and Melissa Cusumano (Asymmetric) reviewed the Masa Arepa landing page and identified several significant usability and content issues. A revised page was committed to by Monday following the meeting.

Issues Identified
1. Excessive Scrolling
The page requires too much scrolling, particularly on desktop. Feedback from multiple levels of Didion leadership flagged that images are too large and white space between sections is excessive.
"There's a bit of spots where it just feels like, okay, I'm still scrolling, still scrolling, still scrolling." — Diana Henry
Fix: Reduce image sizes (particularly the large circular images) and compress white space between sections.
2. Placeholder / Watermarked Images in Hero
The hero section still contains FPO (For Placement Only) watermarked stock images. These were visible on wider viewports and had not been replaced with final photography.
Fix: Replace all FPO/watermarked images in the hero carousel with approved final assets.
3. Poor Information Hierarchy — Key Messaging Buried
The "Traditional, non-GMO, organic, custom blend" text appears below a large photo, causing it to get lost. Diana identified this as among the most important information on the page for prospective buyers.
"This is actually one of the most important bits and pieces of information for people to know." — Diana Henry
Fix: Move the "Traditional, non-GMO, organic, custom blend" callout above the photo / to a more prominent position earlier in the page flow.
4. Inconsistent Body Copy Font Sizes
Body copy font size varies across sections — some blocks appear larger than others at the same hierarchy level. This was confirmed to be a real inconsistency (not just a viewport scaling artifact).
Fix: Audit and normalize body copy font size across all sections.
5. Responsiveness
The page had not been fully reviewed for responsive behavior across viewport sizes. Some elements appeared to scale unexpectedly.
Fix: Review responsiveness and ensure consistent rendering across desktop and mobile breakpoints.
Additional Support Needed
Carousel Editing Tutorial
Diana needs a short video tutorial from Eshock (the developer) explaining how to edit the page's image carousel. This is required before Didion can make their own copy/image updates (e.g., correcting "Arepa" pluralization). Diana is responsible for securing this from Eshock.
