Seamless WordPress Migration Strategy
Overview
Seamless is migrating from their current Hibu-managed website to a self-managed WordPress environment hosted by Asymmetric. The core driver is Seamless's frustration with lacking direct control over their own site under the Hibu arrangement. The new setup will give them full ownership and the ability to make changes independently or through Asymmetric.

Current State
| Layer | Current Provider | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Website / CMS | Hibu | Managed platform; client has limited control |
| Hosting | SiteGround | Access recovered via chris.sbsw email during Jan 2026 meeting |
| DNS | Cycron | Holds DNS records for the domain |
| Analytics | Google Analytics | Access granted to Asymmetric Jan 2026 |
| Ads | Google Ads | Access granted to Asymmetric Jan 2026 |
| Search Console | Google Search Console | Access granted to Asymmetric Jan 2026 |
Target Architecture
| Layer | Target Provider | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Website / CMS | WordPress | Self-managed; editable by client or Asymmetric |
| Hosting | Asymmetric (managed environment) | Replaces SiteGround as active host |
| DNS | Cloudflare (likely) | Pending confirmation with Mark; currently Cycron |
| Analytics / Ads / Search Console | Google (Asymmetric as user) | Direct access without 2FA dependency |
Key Decisions
- Asymmetric will host the WordPress site in their own managed environment, not on SiteGround. SiteGround may be retained only if it continues to hold the domain/DNS.
- DNS will likely move to Cloudflare. This needs confirmation from Mark before action is taken. Cycron may remain if the domain registration is tied there.
- Client control is a hard requirement. Brandon Aman explicitly stated that inability to control the Hibu site has been a major pain point. The new WordPress setup must give Seamless direct access and editing capability.
- Credentials document to be created. Asymmetric will compile all new login credentials into a master document for the client.
Access Setup (Completed Jan 2026)
All access work was completed during the January 2026 meeting:
- SiteGround: Recovered via password reset to
chris.sbswemail. Asymmetric added as collaborator. - Google Account: Accessed via 2FA push notification to Brandon Aman's phone. Sebastian Gant then added Asymmetric's email as a named user to:
- Google Analytics
- Google Ads
- Google Search Console
- Going forward, Asymmetric can log into all Google properties directly without requiring client 2FA.
