# SOAR Course Guide Review — 2026-02-13

## Overview

Working session with Gus Donelson (Agility Recovery) and Isalia Ramirez (Asymmetric) to review feedback on the Facilitator Guide (FG) and Participant Guide (PG) for the SOAR course. Guides were not yet finalized at time of meeting; Isalia committed to completing updates over the weekend and sending to Gus for review. The Storyline co-pilot project will begin in parallel once guides are in Gus's court.

**Attendees:**
- Mark Hope — Asymmetric (mark.hope@asymmetric.pro)
- Isalia Ramirez — Asymmetric (isalia.ramirez@asymmetric.pro)
- Gus Donelson — Agility Recovery (gus.donelson@agilityrecovery.com)

## Key Decisions

### 1. Sales Playbooks: Reference, Don't Duplicate
The FG should not incorporate content from the SharePoint Sales Playbooks — it should reference them as job aids. The goal is to train reps to know where to go (the playbook) rather than reproduce the content inside the guide.

- Add facilitator notes at relevant lesson points (e.g., Verticals, Value Proposition) pointing to the corresponding playbook section.
- Playbooks live in SharePoint under the Training folder > Sales Playbook. Planned sections include: buyer personas, ICP, value proposition, elevator speech, discovery questions, voicemail/email templates, multi-threading strategy, verticals, proposals, success stories, ROI Calculator, closing techniques, coaching tools, and dashboard.
- Not all playbook sections are built yet; Gus is building them out incrementally.

### 2. ROI Calculator: Add Live Demo Prompt
The ROI Calculator is referenced in the course but not demonstrated. Gus requested a facilitator prompt be added to the FG at the point where the calculator is mentioned, cueing him to run a live demo so it isn't skipped.

### 3. Objection Handling Activity Sequencing
An objection handling activity appears in the course before the formal objection handling module is taught. Rather than reorder the content, add a facilitator note acknowledging the sequencing — noting that a structured objection handling process will be covered in a later module, but that learners should attempt the activity using their existing instincts.

### 4. New Product: Incident Response Jumpstart Retainer (IR JSR)
A new standalone product launched in partnership with Arctic Wolf. Key details for the FG note:
- **Product name:** Incident Response Jumpstart Retainer (IR JSR)
- **Partner:** Arctic Wolf (not a white-label arrangement)
- **Training path:** Reps complete training on Arctic Wolf's own LMS — no changes needed to Agility's e-learning
- **Agility LMS:** An Arctic Wolf assessment will be assigned within Agility's LMS
- Product launched the day before this meeting (2026-02-12)

### 5. Product Catalog: Skip 2024, Wait for 2026
The 2024 product catalog is outdated and should not be referenced in the guides. The 2026 catalog is with the graphic designer and expected within a few weeks. It will include:
- A comparison chart across tiers (Essentials, Standard, Enhanced)
- Internal and external versions
- Technical specs (breakers, plugins, power requirements) in the internal version

Do not use the 2024 catalog as a placeholder. Wait for the 2026 version, which will serve as a key training artifact for product training modules.

- [ ] **Isalia** — Update FG: add facilitator prompt for live ROI Calculator demo
- [ ] **Isalia** — Update FG: add sequencing caveat note for the objection handling activity
- [ ] **Isalia** — Update FG: add introductory note for the IR Jumpstart Retainer (Arctic Wolf), including LMS training path
- [ ] **Isalia** — Finalize and send updated FG and PG to Gus this weekend
- [ ] **Isalia** — Begin Storyline co-pilot project once guides are sent
- [ ] **Gus** — Review guides upon receipt; flagged that review may be delayed due to other priorities

## Transcript Excerpts

**On Sales Playbook references (not incorporation):**
> "It's more about referencing it, not so much incorporating the content." — Isalia
> "Correct. Because the content, you've already… I just want to reference it so they start getting comfortable knowing, hey, what am I doing? I can go to this playbook and it's going to take me through all of the pieces." — Gus

**On the ROI Calculator demo:**
> "Somewhere in here, when it's referenced… in a facilitator guide you have me do a demo… That way it reminds me and I don't miss it." — Gus

**On the objection handling sequencing:**
> "We may want to just put a little bit more facilitator notes of going, hey, like, we haven't taught you our process on this objection handling yet, but for the purposes of this activity, overcome the objection… we are going to give you a particular process of overcoming objections in a module in the near future." — Gus

**On the IR Jumpstart Retainer:**
> "The product is Incident Response Jumpstart Retainer… It's a standalone product we're doing with Arctic Wolf… They're going to have to do some particular trainings within the Arctic Wolf website, not ours… There will be an Arctic Wolf assessment within our LMS." — Gus

**On the 2024 product catalog:**
> "Yeah, we got a new one. It's being built… that one we will archive, and the new one will launch within the next couple of weeks." — Gus
> "No [don't use the 2024 one]." — Gus
