# Blog Publishing & Content Gap Strategy (2025-11-04)

Discussed during the [[wiki/meetings/2025-11-04-paul-seb-sync|Paul/Seb Sync (2025-11-04)]]. Covers two parallel tracks: getting five previously approved blogs live on the AHS site, and using Ahrefs' Content Gap feature to inform the next round of writing.

## Overview

AHS blog work splits into an immediate publishing task and an ongoing content research workflow. Five blogs were already approved by the client and are ready to go live — they just need to be handed off to Raphael with clear instructions. Separately, Paul is writing new blogs for November using the **Hs Content Calendar** as a starting point, with Ahrefs used to identify keyword opportunities competitors are capturing that AHS is not.

## Track 1: Publishing Approved Blogs

### Task
Create a ClickUp task for Raphael to publish the five previously approved AHS blogs.

### Instructions for Raphael
- Include all five blog links and their titles in the task
- Instruct him to add images to each post (he knows where to source them)
- All five have already been client-approved — no further review needed before publishing

### Status
- [ ] ClickUp task to be created by Paul immediately after the 2025-11-04 sync call

## Track 2: Writing New Blogs

### Starting Point
Use the **Hs Content Calendar** (shared by Sebastian in the call) as the primary guide for topics. Carly drafted topic titles in the calendar; Paul should treat these as working titles and identify appropriate keywords for each before writing.

### SEO Research: Ahrefs Content Gap

The recommended workflow for finding new keyword targets:

1. Log into Ahrefs using the team account
2. Navigate to the AHS site profile
3. Go to **Organic Competitors** → **Content Gap**
4. Select a competitor and review keywords they rank for that AHS does not

This surfaces content opportunities that are already proven to have search demand, rather than writing blind.

### Example Finding (2025-11-04 Session)
During the call, Sebastian browsed the Content Gap results for AHS against a competitor (asbestos.com). Keywords surfaced included:

- Pleural effusion
- Mesothelioma
- Vermiculite
- Lung cancer

These suggest an opportunity for a blog targeting **health conditions caused by mold or asbestos exposure** — a topic adjacent to AHS's core services that competitors are already capturing traffic for. This is a concrete next blog idea.

> "Maybe you write an article like health conditions that can be caused by mold or whatever. And you can include some of those." — Sebastian

### Notes on Competitor Relevance
- Some competitor keywords (e.g., water damage, fire damage) are not relevant because AHS doesn't offer those services — filter these out
- AHS already ranks for core mold remediation terms; the gap opportunity is in adjacent health/condition content
- AHS has relatively few direct competitors in their area, so the content gap list may be short but high-value
