# Culinary Collection — Marketing Materials Finalization

Working session with Diana Henry (Didion) to review and finalize the intro card and recipe card designs, confirm print specifications, and align on next steps for the 8.5×11 sell sheets and landing page.

**Date:** 2026-04-05
**Attendees:** Diana Henry (Didion) · Melissa Cusumano (Asymmetric)

---

## Overview

The session was a live design review conducted over video call with screen sharing. Melissa worked in the design files in real time while Diana provided feedback. Both the intro card and recipe card were brought to an approved state. Print-ready PDFs were saved to Google Drive. The 8.5×11 sell sheets remain pending final files from the designer.

---

## Key Decisions

- **Intro card approved** with the adjustments made during the call (see details below)
- **Recipe card approved** with reordered ingredients and single-color text
- **Print bleed confirmed:** 0.125" bleed on all sides (0.25" total trim) — consistent across all printed materials
- **File delivery via Google Drive** (not email, which has had reliability issues)
- **Notification method:** Melissa to text Diana when sell sheet files are ready — email deprioritized due to hiccups
- **Gravity Forms + Zapier** confirmed as the data collection stack for the landing page form

---

## Action Items

| Owner | Task | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Melissa | Send final intro card PDF link via Google Drive | PDF v4 saved to source files folder during call |
| Melissa | Follow up with designer on 8.5×11 sell sheet files (with correct bleeds) | Text Diana as soon as files are available |
| Melissa | Follow up with designer on website mockup refinements | Mobile decorative elements flagged as a concern |
| Diana | Submit files to FedEx for printing | Urgent — FedEx flagged weekend capacity constraints |
| Diana | Consider Office Depot/Office Max as backup print vendor if FedEx timing is tight | |

---

## Intro Card Changes

- **Text layout:** Reduced gutters/alleys between elements for better visual balance; added hard returns to break up dense copy blocks and give the reader visual breathing room
- **"Didion Culinary Collection" centered** beneath the headline for emphasis
- **Font size increased** to minimum 10pt (body copy was at 9pt; bumped to 9.5–10pt to match back side)
- **QR code label simplified** to "Scan to learn more" — removed longer instructional copy
- **Logo placement updated**; QR code and Scandler & Moore stacked vertically
- **File saved** as PDF v4 in the intro card source files folder on Google Drive

---

## Recipe Card Changes

- **Ingredient order revised** (most to least essential): Corn masa flour → Water → Kosher salt → Vegetable oil
  - Rationale: flour and water are required; salt and oil are technically optional
  - "In the masa" phrase removed for cleaner copy
- **All text changed to single color (blue)** — gold was flagged as hard to read; two-color approach dropped for consistency
- **Spacing increased** between ingredient elements for visual clarity
- **File saved** as print-ready PDF in the recipe card folder on Google Drive

---

## Print Specifications

- **Bleed:** 0.125" per side
- **Total trim allowance:** 0.25" (0.125" × 2)
- Applies to: intro card, recipe card, and 8.5×11 sell sheets
- Designer to provide sell sheet files with bleeds already built in

---

## Website Landing Page

- Designer's current mockup briefly reviewed during the call
- **Decorative line element flagged** as likely problematic on mobile — Melissa to flag with designer
- **Footer:** Should match the main Didion website footer (designer is currently treating it as a standalone page)
- **Form:** Gravity Forms with a Zapier integration confirmed — consistent with other Didion web projects
- Mockup refinements pending; Melissa to follow up with designer

---

## Printing & Logistics

- Diana is coordinating directly with **FedEx** for urgent printing
- FedEx noted weekend capacity constraints — files need to be submitted as soon as possible
- **Office Depot / Office Max** noted as a backup option if FedEx timing doesn't work out
