# Zoodla B2B Portal Setup

## Overview

Eshock is building out user portals for Zoodla B2B accounts on the WordPress site. The project is currently blocked pending email addresses from the client contact Lucy. SMTP configuration is also needed to ensure reliable email deliverability once the portals go live.

## Current Status

**Blocked.** Eshock is ready to create the portals but cannot proceed without email addresses for each B2B account. Karly sent Lucy a follow-up email on 2025-10-20 requesting this information.

## Open Blockers

| Blocker | Owner | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Email addresses for B2B accounts | Lucy (client) | Karly following up; required before portals can be created |
| SMTP configuration | Mark Hope | Non-blocking; can be done independently at any time |

## SMTP Setup

Mark confirmed that SMTP is a non-blocking task — WordPress ships with PHP-based email out of the box, so portal functionality is not gated on it. However, SMTP should be configured before or shortly after launch to improve deliverability.

**Why SMTP matters:** New domains with low authority are prone to having PHP-generated emails land in spam. Routing mail through a dedicated SMTP server significantly improves inbox delivery rates. The change is invisible to end users and does not alter any portal functionality.

**Assigned to:** [[people/mark-hope]] — can be completed anytime.
