# PaperTube Onboarding & Project Handoff — 2026-01-08

## Overview

PaperTube was introduced as a new client during the [[wiki/meetings/2026-01-08-sprint-planning|2026-01-08 Sprint Planning Meeting]]. The project scope, team assignments, and handoff responsibilities were established during this session. PaperTube is a Shopify-based client with a strong existing brand guide.

## Project Scope

- **Platform:** Shopify (existing site — not a new build)
- **Developer:** Jeff (Shopify development and maintenance)
- **Design Team:** Landing pages and social media graphics
- No major website redesign anticipated; design work is scoped to landing pages, social posts, and email assets

> *"We are doing landing pages for PaperTube, so they'll get some design, but yeah, it's not a lot."* — Karly Oykhman

The client has an existing brand guide described as clean and well-developed, which should streamline design work.

## Team Assignments

| Role | Assignee |
|---|---|
| Account Manager | Karly Oykhman |
| AM Support / Onboarding Shadow | Isalia Ramirez |
| Developer (Shopify) | Jeff |
| Design | Design team (self-assign) |

Design tasks should be assigned to the design team collectively; individual designers will self-select based on client familiarity and availability.

## Handoff Action Items

- **Karly** → Forward the client onboarding email to Isalia so she has full context on the engagement
- **Karly + Isalia** → Meet on Friday (2026-01-10) to walk through the project details and clarify Isalia's support role
- **Isalia's role** → Moving from observer to active support; Karly to define specific responsibilities given the project's complexity

## Notes & Considerations

- Jeff flagged unfamiliarity with Shopify at the outset of the engagement; however, the scope is additive (landing pages, content updates) rather than a ground-up build, which reduces risk
- Shopify's constraints (simpler templating vs. custom frameworks) were noted as a potential friction point but not a blocker
- The design team was not yet assigned a specific designer at the time of this meeting — Karly confirmed assigning to the team pool is the right approach
