# Microsoft Clarity Installation — Shopify 2FA Blocker

## Overview

During the [[wiki/clients/current/papertube/index|Paper Tube Company]] weekly sync on 2026-01-16, the team attempted to install Microsoft Clarity on the Paper Tube Company Shopify store. The installation is ready to proceed but is blocked by a Shopify two-factor authentication issue on the shared account.

## Status

**Blocked** — awaiting Shopify access from Parag.

## What's Ready

- Microsoft Clarity project has been created
- Tracking code snippet is prepared
- Project ID is on hand

All technical prerequisites are in place. The only remaining step is inserting the Clarity script into the Shopify theme, which requires admin access to the store.

## Blocker

The shared Shopify account is protected by 2FA (passkey / authenticator app). The team cannot log in without the credentials or device held by **Parag**. This is a pure access issue — no technical work is outstanding.

## Next Steps

- [ ] Karly to contact Parag to obtain Shopify 2FA access or have Parag add a team member as a collaborator/staff account
- [ ] Once access is restored, insert the Clarity tracking code into the Shopify theme (`Online Store > Themes > Edit Code` or via a custom pixel in `Settings > Customer Events`)
- [ ] Verify Clarity is receiving data after installation
