# Pomelli — Google Labs Campaign Image Generator

Pomelli is a free AI image generation tool from Google Labs designed for producing quick campaign visuals. It is useful for fast social media posts when turnaround speed matters more than polish, but is not a replacement for design-team work on paid advertising.

## How It Works

1. **Set up Brand DNA** — Upload your brand's colors, logos, and reference images. This profile trains Pomelli on your visual identity so generated assets stay on-brand.
2. **Create a Campaign** — Name the campaign, select products or themes, and choose target aspect ratios (square, feed, vertical, etc.).
3. **Generate Ideas** — Click "Generate Ideas" and Pomelli produces a set of ready-to-use campaign images.
4. **Iterate** — Within a campaign you can continue adding creative prompts; Pomelli keeps generating variations. Headers, descriptions, and calls to action can all be adjusted after generation.

## Key Limitation: One Brand Profile Per Account

Each Google account can hold only **one Pomelli brand profile**. For agencies managing multiple clients this is a constraint.

**Workaround:** Use separate Google accounts (e.g., `mark.hope+clientname@gmail.com` aliases, or dedicated team accounts) to create one profile per brand. Because Pomelli is free, spinning up additional accounts has no cost.

## Recommended Use Cases

| Use Case | Fit |
|---|---|
| Quick organic social posts | ✅ Good fit — fast, low-stakes |
| Internal mockups / concept proofs | ✅ Good fit |
| Paid ad creative (LinkedIn, Google) | ❌ Use design team — higher quality needed when budget is behind it |

## Context at Asymmetric

Introduced by Mark Hope during the [[clients/asymmetric/meetings/2026-03-25-website-rebuild-campaign-status|2026-03-25 Marketing Call]]. Suggested as a supplemental tool alongside the design team, not a replacement. The team agreed it is best suited for organic social content where speed outweighs perfection.
