# Trachte Smart Locking Solutions Launch Strategy

## Overview

Trachte is expanding its smart locking offering beyond the existing Passport product by partnering with two additional smart lock vendors. The initiative involves repositioning the Passport web page as a broader **Smart Locking Solutions** hub and building bundled offer campaigns around the new partnerships. Press releases are rolling out in consecutive weeks (week of Oct 20 and week of Oct 27, 2025).

## Context

Previously, Trachte offered only Passport as a smart locking option. The new strategy acknowledges that different customers have different needs, and a single-product page limits the ability to present Trachte as a full solutions provider. A dedicated point of contact (Nick) will guide customers toward the best-fit option for their situation.

## Key Decisions

- **Rebrand the Passport page** as a "Smart Locking Solutions" hub that surfaces all three partner options (Passport + two new partners).
- **Announce partners via press releases**: one this week, one the following week.
- **Nick** is the primary internal point of contact for directing customers to the right smart locking solution.
- **Bundled offers** are being developed with at least one partner (TrackRite): customers who purchase a Trachte door + partner latch receive discounts and/or extended warranties from both sides. Exact bundle terms are still being finalized.
