# X-Ray Opportunities Tab — AI-Generated Task Scoring

The Opportunities tab in the [[wiki/tools/xray|X-Ray]] platform surfaces AI-generated, prioritized growth tasks for each client account. Each opportunity is scored 1–100 and categorized by type, giving account managers a ranked action list without manual analysis.

## How Scoring Works

Each opportunity receives a score from 1 to 100 representing the AI's assessment of its potential impact. Higher-scored items appear at the top of the list. The score factors in signal strength (e.g., search volume, competition level, conversion data) and the likely effort-to-return ratio.

When reviewing a client, account managers should work top-down through the scored list rather than cherry-picking by type — the ranking already accounts for relative priority across categories.

## Opportunity Types

### Blue Ocean
**Definition:** High-demand keywords with low advertising competition — many people are searching, but few or no advertisers are bidding.

**What it means in practice:** These are immediate testing candidates. Low CPC, low competition, and real search volume make them low-risk, high-upside additions to a campaign.

**Example from Bluepoint ATM:** The keyword "ATM service provider" showed 206 impressions with minimal competing ads — the platform flagged it as ready for immediate campaign creation.

### Competitive Blind Spots
**Definition:** Keywords where a competitor ranks organically but runs no paid ads against that term.

**What it means in practice:** The competitor has validated that the keyword drives traffic (they rank for it), but they haven't bothered to bid on it. This creates an opening to capture paid clicks at below-market CPCs.

**Example from Bluepoint ATM:** `atmnetwork.com` ranked organically for "ATM Network" with ~110 visits/month and zero paid ads. X-Ray recommended bidding at $1.20 CPC (20% below market rate) to capture that traffic.

### Content Voids
**Definition:** Queries where search results are low quality — users are searching but existing content doesn't satisfy their intent well.

**What it means in practice:** Publishing strong content for these queries can capture organic rankings quickly because the bar is low. Also useful for identifying landing page gaps.

### Peak Performance (Bid Timing)
**Definition:** Opportunities based on day-of-week or device conversion patterns in the client's own ad data.

**Example from Bluepoint ATM:** Wednesdays converted 300% above average; Tuesdays performed 100% below average. X-Ray flagged adjusting bid modifiers by day as a high-value opportunity.

## Acting on an Opportunity

Each opportunity card supports the following workflow:

1. **Review** — Click the eyeball icon to read the AI's rationale, recommended action, and supporting data.
2. **Generate Tasks** — Click "Generate Tasks" to produce a pre-written subtask list for implementing the opportunity.
3. **Send to ClickUp** — Push the task (with subtasks) directly to [[wiki/tools/clickup|ClickUp]] for assignment and tracking.
4. **Mark Implemented** — Click "Implement" to remove the item from the active list and log it in History.
5. **Add Notes** — Use the Notes field to capture context, questions, or decisions before acting.

The Results field can be updated after implementation to track what actually happened — useful for calibrating the AI's scoring over time.

## Reporting Errors

The scoring algorithm is not perfect. Anomalous scores (e.g., an Emerging Trend opportunity showing implausible numbers due to a Google Trends calculation issue) should be screenshotted and sent to Mark for correction. The system is actively being refined.
