# AHS Leave-Behind Kit Design

A "feel-good" job-site leave-behind kit for [[wiki/clients/ahs/_index|Advanced Health & Safety]], conceived by Gina Richardson and Bob Stigsell. The kit serves dual purposes: driving Google Reviews from satisfied customers and creating a memorable, word-of-mouth-friendly impression at job completions and the annual home show.

## Concept

After a job wraps, the crew supervisor hands the homeowner a small kit — something warm and personal that reinforces the crew's care and prompts a review. The kit is designed to be low-cost, fast to assemble, and emotionally resonant: "we took out the bad stuff, here's something good to grow."

A secondary use case is the **Madison home show**, where the seed packet component works as a booth giveaway to draw foot traffic and spark conversation.

## Kit Components

### 1. Thank-You Postcard
- Signed by the crew (supervisor collects signatures before leaving the job site)
- Includes a **QR code linking directly to AHS's Google Reviews page**
- Tone: warm, personal, brief — not a sales pitch
- Optionally mailable (Gina wants the flexibility to send via post if needed)
- Inspired by a business card from Madison Mobile Detailing & Pressure Washing that Bob brought in as a reference

### 2. Wildflower Seed Packet
- Seed paper or a standard seed packet (wildflower mix)
- Sourced from **4imprint** (Gina already has a free sample)
- Carries a tagline tying the remediation work to new growth
- Tagline direction (working concepts from the meeting):
  - *"We took out the nasties — here's something to help your home bloom."*
  - Other options to be developed; Gina liked the ChatGPT suggestions directionally but didn't love any specific line yet

### 3. Optional Packaging
- Gina's vision: a small cinch bag (like a wedding favor bag) containing the postcard, seed packet, and possibly a business card or magnet
- Bob's constraint: **must be fast and easy for supervisors to hand off** — no elaborate assembly

## Design & Production Notes

- Sebastian Gant ([[wiki/team/sebastian-gant|Sebastian]]) is leading design and sourcing
- Asymmetric has **local Madison printing partners** who can produce the postcard
- The postcard and seed packet may be kept as **separate items** (not combined into one printed piece) to preserve flexibility for the home show use case
- Seed paper postcard (plantable paper) is an option if cost-effective — Gina is open to it but prioritizes cost

## Tagline Development

The tagline needs to:
- Connect the remediation service (asbestos/mold removal) to a positive outcome
- Be short enough for a postcard or seed packet label
- Feel warm, not clinical
- Align with Gina's existing phone greeting: *"How can I make your day safer?"*

The safety cone idea (squishy promo cone) was floated but rejected — doesn't connect clearly to the service.

## Home Show Application

- The seed packet (with or without the full kit) works as a **booth giveaway** at the annual Madison home show (approximately one month from the December 2025 meeting)
- Goal: draw people to the booth who wouldn't otherwise stop; give them something to take home and talk about
- Gina's framing: *"People don't know there's asbestos in vinyl flooring. Something that gets them to our booth means I can teach them something."*
- The Google Reviews postcard is **not** intended for the home show — keep these two pieces functionally separate

## Action Items

- [ ] Sebastian: design the thank-you postcard (layout, QR code, crew signature area)
- [ ] Sebastian: develop tagline options for the seed packet
- [ ] Sebastian: source seed packets via 4imprint or comparable vendor
- [ ] Sebastian: coordinate with local Madison printer for postcard production
- [ ] Sebastian: propose whether postcard + seed packet should be combined or kept separate, with cost comparison
- [ ] Gina: confirm preferred tagline direction once options are presented
- [ ] Both: target completion before the home show (~January 2026)
