# Reynolds Transfer — Destination URL Audit & Fixes

## Overview

During the 2026-04-01 weekly call, a critical ad misconfiguration was identified in the Reynolds Transfer Google Ads account. Ads in the **Piano Safe Movers** ad group were sending traffic to generic landing pages (e.g., "Madison Moving Companies") instead of the specific **Piano Movers** landing page. This wastes ad spend by delivering users to irrelevant pages that don't match their search intent.

The issue is not isolated to Reynolds — a broader audit of all managed accounts is warranted, as similar mismatches were noted across other accounts.

## The Problem

| Ad Group | Expected Destination | Actual Destination |
|---|---|---|
| Piano Safe Movers | Piano Movers LP | Madison Moving Companies LP |
| Piano Safe Movers | Piano Movers LP | Storage & Warehousing LP |
| Piano Safe Movers | Piano Movers LP | Heavy Machinery LP |

**Key distinction:** The presence of multiple landing pages in an account is not itself the problem. What matters is which landing page is set as the **destination URL** on each individual ad. Ads in the Piano Safe Movers group were pointing to unrelated LPs rather than the Piano Movers-specific page.

## Impact

- Ad spend is wasted when users searching for piano moving services land on a generic "Madison Moving Companies" page or an unrelated service page.
- Conversion rates suffer due to the mismatch between search intent and landing page content.
- Quality Score may be negatively affected by low relevance between ad copy and destination.

## Action Items

- [ ] **Reynolds Transfer account (priority):** Review all enabled ads; update destination URLs to point to the correct, intent-matched landing page. Remove or pause incorrect LP assignments from affected ad groups. *(Owner: Gilbert Barrongo)*
- [ ] **All other managed accounts:** Conduct the same destination URL audit across every account. Identify any ad groups where destination URLs do not match the ad group's theme or intent. *(Owner: Gilbert Barrongo)*

## How to Audit Destination URLs

1. In Google Ads, navigate to the target account → **Ads & Assets → Ads**.
2. Filter to show only **Enabled** ads.
3. For each ad, click through to verify the destination URL resolves to the correct, intent-matched landing page.
4. If the destination URL is wrong, edit the ad and update the **Final URL** field to the correct landing page.
5. Do **not** delete other landing pages from the account — only correct the destination URL on the ad itself.

## Related Notes

- The team attempted to use [[knowledge/ai-tooling/claude-code-setup-windows]] (Claude Code) to automate these URL fixes during the same call, but the tool failed to connect due to a suspected Windows process conflict. Manual fixes should proceed in the meantime.
