# Shine Google Ads Advertiser Verification

## Overview

During the October 2025 realignment call, two Google Ads issues surfaced for the Shine account: an unintentional test campaign that ran and spent real budget, and a pending advertiser verification deadline that could result in account suspension if missed.

## Unintentional Test Campaign

A test campaign was inadvertently left running on the Shine Google Ads account. Key results before it was paused:

The campaign has since been **paused**. Note: the 2 form submission conversions may not have actually delivered to Katie's inbox, as the Shine contact form was simultaneously experiencing an SMTP issue (see [[wiki/clients/shine/shine-contact-form-smtp-issue]]).

The $20 cost-per-conversion is a reasonable early benchmark for a cleaning/construction service, though the data set is too small to draw firm conclusions.

## Advertiser Verification Deadline

Google requires advertiser verification to be completed by **November 2025**. Failure to complete verification will result in account suspension, halting any future campaigns.

## Context

PPC for Shine (Google Ads and Meta Ads) was formally added to the engagement scope just prior to this call. The test campaign predates the formal scope addition and was set up during initial account configuration. Ad spend strategy and budget planning are scheduled to be discussed in the next client call.
