# Gravity Forms to HubSpot Re-mapping — BluePoint ATM

## Overview

A Gravity Forms plugin update broke the existing form-to-HubSpot field mapping on the BluePoint ATM website, preventing new form submissions from automatically creating or updating contacts in HubSpot. This article documents the issue, the fix, and the known limitations.

## Problem

A recent Gravity Forms plugin update silently broke the field mapping between website contact forms and HubSpot. After the update:

- New form submissions were **not** automatically creating contacts in HubSpot
- Contact detail fields (phone number, company name, comments) were **not** populating into the correct HubSpot properties
- Form activity labels in HubSpot were not properly identifying which form triggered the submission

This meant inbound leads from the website were arriving in HubSpot incomplete or not at all, creating a gap in the sales pipeline.

## Solution

Re-map all website Gravity Forms to their corresponding HubSpot contact fields. This involves:

1. Auditing every form on the BluePoint ATM website
2. Re-establishing field-level mappings (name → name, phone → phone, company → company, comments → notes/comments, etc.)
3. Renaming form activity labels in HubSpot so submissions are clearly identifiable by source form
4. Verifying that new test submissions correctly auto-populate contact records in HubSpot

The NY campaign landing page form (to be built as part of the [[wiki/knowledge/campaigns/ny-cashless-compliance-campaign|NY Cashless Compliance Campaign]]) should also be connected to HubSpot at build time to avoid the same issue.

## Expected Outcome

After re-mapping:

- Every new form submission on the site will **automatically create or update a HubSpot contact**
- The following fields will populate correctly: phone number, company name, and comments/message
- HubSpot activity logs will display a clear label identifying which form was submitted
- Sales team can act on inbound leads without manual data entry

## Known Limitations

- **Not retroactive.** The fix will not backfill or correct existing HubSpot contacts that were created (or missed) during the period when the mapping was broken. Any contacts from that window will need to be manually reviewed and updated if their records are incomplete.

## Related Context

This issue surfaced during the January 14, 2026 strategy call. It was noted that the upcoming NY campaign will rely on a HubSpot-connected landing page form for lead capture — making a working integration a prerequisite for that campaign's launch.
