# Quarra Salesforce Data Backup Frequency Increase

## Overview

Quarra's automated Salesforce data backup was running on a monthly schedule, exporting the full Salesforce instance to Google Drive. As active development on the org increases, the team agreed to raise the backup frequency to **bi-weekly** to reduce potential data loss exposure.

## Decision

- **Previous frequency:** Monthly
- **New frequency:** Bi-weekly
- **Storage:** Google Drive (existing setup)
- **File handling:** Overwrite existing backup files — do not accumulate multiple copies

## Rationale

As more configuration work, data imports, and integrations are being built out, a monthly backup window creates unacceptable risk. Bi-weekly cadence provides a reasonable safety net without requiring a full-data sandbox (which Quarra does not need — the partial sandbox included in the current subscription is sufficient).

## Action Item

- **Owner:** Karly Oykhman
- **Task:** Update the automated backup job to run bi-weekly and confirm the overwrite behavior is enabled so copies do not accumulate in Google Drive.
