# Day-in-the-Life Video Structure

## Overview

The Day-in-the-Life video is a planned component of the Agility Recovery SOAR course video package. Unlike the leadership/executive videos, this piece focuses on frontline sales roles — specifically SDRs and BDRs — to give new hires a realistic view of the day-to-day sales experience.

Due to time constraints at SKO, the video will be recorded **virtually post-SKO** rather than on-site.

---

## Purpose

- Provide new hires with a relatable, ground-level perspective on the sales role
- Complement the executive leadership videos, which cover company vision and culture
- Serve as onboarding content within the SOAR eLearning course

---

## Talent

**Featured roles:** SDRs and BDRs (not senior leadership)

This is a deliberate distinction from the leadership video series. The Day-in-the-Life format is most effective when it features peers rather than executives, making it more credible and approachable for new hire audiences.

---

## Production Approach

| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| **Format** | Virtual recording (remote participants) |
| **Timing** | Post-SKO |
| **Reason for deferral** | Insufficient time to coordinate and record during SKO event |
| **Structure doc** | Asymmetric to provide structural guide to client |

---

## Structure Guidance

> *Note: A formal structure guide is being prepared by Asymmetric and will be shared with Gus Donelson. The following reflects the intended scope discussed in the 2025-12-30 review call.*

The video should follow a loose narrative arc showing a representative workday. Suggested structural elements:

1. **Opening / Introduction** — Who is this person, what is their role?
2. **Morning Routine** — How do they start their day? (prospecting, pipeline review, team standup)
3. **Core Activities** — Key tasks: outreach, calls, demos, follow-ups
4. **Tools & Resources** — Brief mention of systems used (CRM, co-pilot, etc.)
5. **Challenges & Tips** — Candid reflection on what's hard and what helps
6. **Closing / Encouragement** — Message to new hires

Keep the tone conversational and authentic. Avoid over-scripting; bullet-point talking points work better than word-for-word scripts for this format.

---

## Relationship to Other Video Assets

- **Leadership Video (SKO):** Executive-facing; covers company vision, welcome, and graduation messaging. See Leadership Video Scripts.
- **B-Roll:** Supporting footage to be used across video assets. B-roll suggestion document being sent separately by Asymmetric.
- **SOAR Course Modules:** This video will be embedded within or linked from the broader SOAR Course package.

## Status

| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Structure guide | In progress — Asymmetric to send to Gus |
| Talent identified | Pending (SDRs/BDRs to be selected post-SKO) |
| Recording scheduled | Not yet — deferred to post-SKO, virtual format |
| Script/talking points | Not yet drafted |

Discussed during the 2025-12-30 SOAR Course Review call with Gus Donelson. Isalia Ramirez confirmed she would send the structural guide after the call.

> *"The detail and stuff of the day in the life will be super helpful because that's not going to be this senior leadership. It's going to be like SDR, like a business development rep and stuff like that."*
