# AviaryAI: GA4 & Google Tag Manager Setup

## Overview

During the 2026-02-04 weekly sync, GA4 tracking for AviaryAI was unblocked when Mark published the Google Tag Manager (GTM) container live during the call. This resolved a blocker that had been preventing Sebastian from launching the Google Ads campaigns, which were already built and ready to go.

The GA4 property is held under the Asymmetric team account. Prior to this call, the GTM container was fully configured but unpublished, meaning no data was being collected.

## What Was Done

- **GTM container published** by Mark during the call, enabling data collection to begin immediately.
- **GA4 property confirmed** accessible under the Asymmetric team Google Analytics account (listed as "aviary" alongside "aviary calculators").
- **Measurement ID** identified for connection to the Google Ads account via GTM.

## Remaining Steps (as of 2026-02-04)

- [ ] **Mark:** Connect the Google Ads account to GTM using the GA4 measurement ID — due same day.
- [ ] **Sebastian:** Once Ads account is linked, launch the pre-built Google Ads campaigns.

## Account & Access Notes

- GA4 property lives under the **Asymmetric team Google Analytics account** — look under "All Accounts" if it doesn't appear immediately.
- Two properties visible: `aviary` and `aviary calculators`.
- GTM container was configured (tags in place) before this call; the only missing step was publishing.
- A Google Cloud Console project was also set up by Mark to support API connectivity if needed.

## Context

Sebastian had set an internal deadline of Friday (2026-02-07) for the ads launch. The campaigns were fully built prior to this call — the GTM/GA4 gap was the sole blocker. With the container now published, the launch dependency shifts entirely to connecting the Ads account.

> **Mark (transcript):** "I'll get the Google tag set up, and I connect the ads account to GTM. And get all that done in the next 30 minutes."

> **Justin (transcript):** "There's no data in the GA4 because the tags aren't set up quite yet."
