# Seamless Certification & Memberships Page Strategy

## Overview

The Seamless Building Systems (SBS WI) website will feature a dedicated **Memberships & Certifications** page designed to build trust and credibility with prospective clients. The page consolidates certifications, memberships, and individual credentials into a single, scannable reference. Content strategy was defined during the [[clients/seamless/meetings/2026-01-28-website-review-seo-strategy|2026-01-28 Website Review & SEO Strategy]] meeting.

## Page Title & Framing

The page will be titled **"Memberships & Certifications"** — deliberately avoiding the addition of "Licenses" to keep the label clean and avoid confusion, even though some credentials technically qualify as licenses.

The About Us page will also be revised to feature certifications more prominently, reinforcing trust signals across multiple entry points on the site.

## Credentials to Feature

### IAAP / IKO Certification
- **Type:** Certification
- **Status:** Assets in hand — logo provided by rep
- **Content:** The IKO rep provided a written blurb explaining what the certification means. This copy should be melded with the logo on the page rather than displayed separately.
- **Display idea:** Logo with accompanying explanatory text; hover interaction could surface the certification detail.

### GACO Certification
- **Type:** Certification
- **Status:** ⚠️ Assets needed — Brandon Aman to provide logo and blurb
- **Notes:** GACO is a coating product line Seamless works with. The certification enables them to offer a **material + labor warranty** (see [[wiki/knowledge/website/seamless-certification-page-strategy#warranty-messaging|Warranty Messaging]] below). Brandon Aman confirmed he will source this from the GACO rep.
- **Action:** Brandon Aman → send GACO logo and description to Melissa

### NRCA Membership
- **Type:** Membership (not a certification)
- **Status:** Logo currently on existing site; quality may need improvement (current version appears blurry)
- **Notes:** NRCA sets industry standards. It should be clearly labeled as a *membership* rather than a certification to be accurate. The distinction matters for credibility.
- **Action:** Confirm a high-resolution NRCA logo is available; request updated asset from NRCA if needed

### Brandon's Roof Moisture Scanning Certification
- **Type:** Individual certification
- **Status:** Confirmed; needs to be surfaced on the page
- **Notes:** Described as highly significant within the commercial roofing industry, even if not widely recognized by the general public. Worth featuring with a brief explanation of what moisture scanning is and why it matters.

## Warranty Messaging

### Problem
The existing site and case studies reference a **"50-year warranty"** — this claim is now obsolete. GACO no longer offers a 50-year warranty.

### Decision
Replace all instances of "50-year warranty" with the generic label **"Material Warranty."**

### Rationale
There are two warranty types in commercial roofing:
- **Material Warranty** — covers materials only
- **Material + Labor Warranty** — requires certified installer status (this is where certifications like GACO become a selling point)

Unless a specific warranty is genuinely exceptional and worth explaining as a differentiator, the simpler "Material Warranty" label avoids confusion and prevents the need to explain complex warranty structures to a general audience. If a warranty *is* a standout selling point, it can be called out explicitly at that time.

## Design Considerations

- **Layout:** Each credential should have its own section with logo + explanatory blurb. A hover/tooltip interaction could surface detail without cluttering the page.
- **Labeling:** Clearly distinguish between *certifications* and *memberships* within the page layout.
- **About Us cross-reference:** Certifications should also appear on the About Us page to reinforce trust at multiple touchpoints.
- **Individual credentials:** Brandon's personal Roof Moisture Scanning certification should be attributed to him by name — this humanizes the credential and signals expertise.
