# VCEDC Donate Page Layout — Three Payment Options

## Overview

During the final pre-launch review, the VCEDC donate page was reconfigured to present three payment options in a specific order. The ordering reflects the organization's rural membership base, where many businesses and individuals still prefer to pay by check.

## Approved Layout

The donate page should display three options in this exact order:

1. **Mail a Check** — listed first to serve older businesses and community members who prefer traditional payment methods
2. **Donate with PayPal** — second option for online donors
3. **Pay with Stripe** — third option for card-based online payments

> "I would do one, two, three, mail a check, donate with PayPal, and then do Stripe, the last one. We still have, you know, we're very rural and a lot of older businesses that we work with, and there's a lot of people that still write checks out."
> — Kathy Schmitz, VCEDC

## Rationale

The check-first ordering is intentional and audience-driven. VCEDC serves a rural Wisconsin county where a significant portion of member businesses are not digitally native. Prioritizing the check option reduces friction for that segment without removing modern payment options for others.

## Implementation Notes

- This layout change was assigned to **Isalia Ramirez** as part of the pre-launch fix batch
- Stripe functionality was noted as something that may only be fully verifiable post-launch (live environment required)
- The page uses a three-box visual layout; the ordering of boxes should match the priority sequence above
