# VCEDC Homepage — Testimonials Layout

Design decisions for the testimonials section on the VCEDC homepage, finalized during the October 2025 design review meeting.

## Layout Decisions

### Quote Order
The original design displayed the **name and attribution first**, followed by the quote text. This was reversed during review. The agreed-upon order is:

1. **Quote text** (body of the testimonial)
2. **Name and title/company** (attribution below)

This matches the conventional testimonial pattern and was applied consistently across all testimonial instances on the page.

### Quotation Marks
Explicit opening and closing **quotation marks** should be added to each quote. This was identified as a necessary visual cue once the quote-first layout was adopted.

### Section Heading
The section heading was updated from the generic label "Testimonials" to the more conversational:

> **What People Are Saying**

This was Kathy's preference, and Melissa agreed it strikes the right tone for the audience.

### Supporting Copy
No introductory sentence or subheading is needed beneath the section heading. The decision was to keep it simple and let the quotes speak for themselves.

## Implementation Notes

- Changes apply to **all testimonial instances** on the homepage — flip quote order and add quotation marks consistently.
- The same layout convention should be applied wherever testimonials appear on other pages (e.g., the About Us section uses a similar quote block that was also flagged for the same treatment).
- The designer (Lukasz) was noted to sometimes interpret feedback inversely due to language differences — confirm the direction explicitly: quote body first, attribution second.
