# VCEDC Resource Logos — Ordering & Sizing

## Decision

All resource logos on the VCEDC website should be displayed at the **same size** — no single logo should appear more prominent or visually weighted than the others. The ordering should prioritize **Nicolet College first**, followed by **WEDC**, with the remaining partner logos filling out the grid below in no particular hierarchy.

## Rationale

The original design had one logo displayed larger or differently styled than the rest, which created an unintended impression that one resource partner was more important than the others. Kathy noted that while WEDC and Nicolet College are the most significant partners locally, making any single logo visually dominant creates political friction — it implies favoritism among partners who all contribute meaningfully.

The compromise: use **position** (top-left, top-right) rather than **size** to signal priority. All logos remain visually equal; placement does the work.

> "I honestly could live with it either way... but I think this is a better solution. Keep them all the same." — Kathy Schmitz

## Implementation Notes

- Logos should render in a consistent grid (e.g., two columns at top, remaining logos below)
- Nicolet College → first position (top-left or row 1)
- WEDC → second position (top-right or row 1)
- Remaining resource logos → fill subsequent rows, consistent sizing throughout
- The water/scenery photo below the resource section can remain as a decorative banner with no copy overlay

## Context

This decision was made during a design review session in Miro. The designer (Lukasz) had initially interpreted a client comment as a request to make one logo *stand out more*, when the intent was the opposite — make it *match* the others. Melissa clarified the direction in a Miro comment before the meeting.
