SOAR Project Handover Kickoff — 2026-04-05
Overview
Kickoff meeting introducing Melissa Cusumano and Avoke Onorimuo as the incoming Asymmetric team on the [1] SOAR project, replacing Isalia Ramirez. Gus Donelson (Learning Leader, Agility Recovery) provided project context, flagged ongoing IT/access blockers, confirmed a content strategy pivot for the Tech Stack module, and previewed future scope.
Attendees:
- Gus Donelson — Learning Leader, Agility Recovery (client)
- Melissa Cusumano — Account Manager, Asymmetric (incoming lead)
- Avoke Onorimuo — Account Coordinator, Asymmetric (incoming support)
- Isalia Ramirez — Asymmetric (outgoing lead, transitioning off)
- Mark Hope — Asymmetric
Project Background
SOAR (Sales Optimization and Readiness) is Agility Recovery's foundational new-hire onboarding program, designed primarily for sales hires but intended to provide baseline organizational knowledge across all departments. Agility Recovery is an ~83-person company; Gus Donelson is the first dedicated learning professional in the organization's history.
- All course content has been built in Articulate Rise
- The program spans approximately two weeks of onboarding content
- The project is behind its original 14-week schedule, primarily due to IT delays — acknowledged by Gus as his responsibility
Remaining work at time of handover:
1. Finalize the "Unlocking the Power of Co-pilot" module (in review)
2. Complete the Tech Stack module
3. Design participant and facilitator guides
4. Finalize the SOAR agenda
Key Decisions
1. Tech Stack Module: Pivot from Storyline to Video Recordings
- Original plan: Interactive click-through simulations built in Articulate Storyline
- New plan: Simpler screen-capture video recordings
- Rationale: Storyline requires specialized skill; video recordings are faster to produce and sufficient for a v1 release. Gus is under pressure from leadership to ship.
- Future consideration: Gus is piloting Vyond (AI video creation tool) starting the following week, which may enable more engaging video content for SOAR 2.0
2. Participant & Facilitator Guides: Design in Adobe, Provide Raw File
- Guides will be designed in Adobe (not Word) for a professional finish
- Asymmetric will deliver both the polished output and an editable raw file
- Gus's marketing team has some Adobe access for minor future edits; Asymmetric handles significant revisions
3. Meeting Rescheduled
- Recurring Friday sync moved to 10:00 AM Central (9:00 AM Madison / Melissa's time) to accommodate Avoke's international time zone
Blockers
Microsoft 365 Licenses — SharePoint Access
- The new Asymmetric team cannot access Agility Recovery's SharePoint, where all project files are stored
- Root cause: Agility Recovery is out of Microsoft 365 Basic licenses; the CIO is evaluating recycling existing licenses
- Impact: Blocks access to Tech Stack module content and Sales Mastery materials
- Resolution path: Gus to follow up with IT vendor (Xerox) on Monday to secure licenses
Avoke's International Access
- Avoke's location triggered an admin restriction blocking her login, despite a prior international-access request submitted to IT
- Xerox (outsourced IT) needs to resolve the configuration
- Dependency: Agility email must be functional before sales tool access (Salesforce, SalesLoft, Zoom Info) can be provisioned — accounts time out within 24 hours of provisioning if not activated
Articulate Ownership Transfer
- The "Unlocking the Power of Co-pilot" course is currently under Asymmetric's Articulate account ownership
- Isalia shared it with Gus for review during the meeting; full ownership transfer to Agility Recovery's account is pending course completion
Future Scope
SOAR 2.0
More engaging content layer built on top of the current Rise foundation. Likely to incorporate Storyline interactivity and/or Vyond video once the v1 program is live.
Elevate Program
A continuous monthly education initiative for the sales team, running after SOAR onboarding concludes.
- Format: rotating mix of e-learning, video, and instructor-led sessions
- Goal: build a reusable content library covering soft skills, product knowledge, and sales skills
- Cadence: monthly
- Status: not yet scoped or contracted — identified as a future opportunity

Notable Context
- Abby (Agility Recovery SME) holds significant undocumented knowledge about the Tech Stack content — a key reason the SOAR project exists. Sales tool access requests (Salesforce, SalesLoft, Zoom Info) must wait until Agility emails are functional.
- Gus flagged that the Co-pilot recording contains an outtake with some unplanned language — noted for awareness when reviewing source recordings.
- The relationship between Gus and Isalia was described warmly; managing client expectations around the transition will be important.
