HS App Demo Prep — Mobile Site Survey Workflow
Overview
Preparation notes from the [1] for the HS app walkthrough scheduled at 1 PM ET the same day. The demo environment was largely ready, with a few open questions requiring client input during the call itself. The primary focus was walking HS through the mobile site survey workflow end-to-end.
The demo environment uses a fictional company ("Acme") populated with sample data to illustrate customers, site surveys, estimates, jobs, and a calendar view.
Demo Scope
The desktop portal shows the full data model — customers, site surveys, estimates, jobs, invoices, and calendar. The mobile workflow is the centerpiece of the demo.
Mobile Site Survey Workflow
The survey is broken into four sequential sections, each advancing via a Next button:
1. Property Details
- Street address
- Building type and year built
- Number of stories
- Construction type (e.g., Wood Frame)
- Occupancy status (Occupied / Vacant / Partial)
- Available hours
- Owner contact information
2. Access & Logistics
- Access restrictions (yes/no)
- Parking availability
- Loading zone availability
- Equipment access adequacy
- Elevator availability
- Minimum doorway width
3. Environmental Conditions
- Temperature
- Humidity level
- Moisture issues and notes
- Structural concerns
- Utility shutoff locations
4. Hazards & Materials
- Hazard type (e.g., asbestos)
- Asbestos details
- Per-material entries including:
- Material type (e.g., ceiling tiles)
- Location
- Condition
- Friability
- Notes
Photo Requirement & Submission
- 4 photos are required before the survey can be submitted
- Once all photos are captured, the user taps Next / Save & Send
- The completed survey is transmitted to the desktop portal for review
