Domain & Email Access Resolution — 2026-04-05

Overview

Working session with Lisa Frommelt (JBF client contact) to diagnose and resolve domain and email access issues blocking the project. The core problem is that the original domain (jbfconcretelandscape.com) is locked out of an inaccessible Google Workspace account, preventing email setup on that domain. A hyphenated workaround domain (jbfconcrete-landscape.com) was previously created as a stopgap. This call clarified the path forward and surfaced a secondary blocker: GoDaddy 2FA codes are not reaching the registered phone number, preventing domain redirect configuration.

Website development is not blocked by these issues and is continuing in parallel.

Key Decisions

Redirect jbfconcretelandscape.com to the new website. Both domains will point to the same site, preserving any existing SEO value and traffic from the original domain while avoiding dead-ends for visitors who use old branding.
Retain jbfconcrete-landscape.com for email and the "Book Now" CTA until the Google Workspace lockout on the original domain is resolved. The hyphen is not a meaningful SEO concern.
Continue pursuing Google Workspace recovery for the original domain in parallel. Google support has been unresponsive to two prior recovery requests.
Website development proceeds independently. Final mock-up tweaks, copy integration, and page builds are not dependent on domain resolution.

Problem Summary

Google Workspace Lockout

An inaccessible Google Workspace account already exists for jbfconcretelandscape.com.
Google will not allow a new Workspace account to be created for a domain already associated with an existing account.
Two recovery requests to Google support have gone unanswered.
Status: Unresolved — ongoing.

GoDaddy 2FA Blocker

GoDaddy login requires a 2FA code sent to the phone number ending in 0728 (Lisa's number).
Codes are not arriving via SMS or email despite multiple resend attempts during the call.
The last successful code delivery was in September (per Lisa's recollection).
Account recovery via GoDaddy's identity verification flow was not completed during the call (Lisa has client appointments starting at 10am).
A second password (VeronaJake30) was provided by Lisa for Mark to attempt login.
Status: Unresolved — Lisa to attempt account recovery; Mark to attempt login with alternate password.

Desired end state: Redirect jbfconcretelandscape.com → new website; email remains on hyphenated domain until Workspace lockout is resolved
DNS access needed: GoDaddy control panel access required to configure the redirect; blocked by 2FA issue

Website Development Status

Final mock-up tweaks and copy integration are underway.
Development (page builds) will begin once mock-ups are approved — not gated on domain resolution.
Lisa has all required photos; will sort and upload to Miro by Sunday night.
Miro board access was confirmed during the call (Melissa to add Lisa's Lumarie email directly).
