During the April 5 weekly call, the team resolved a blocking issue that had prevented Microsoft Clarity from activating on PaperTube's Shopify store. The root cause was a pending approval email that had been routed to the shared team@ account rather than a personal inbox — causing the integration to stall silently from the Clarity dashboard side.
Karly had provided the Clarity tracking code to Jeff (PaperTube's developer), who installed it via the Shopify plugin. After installation, Shopify displayed:
"Project link request is sent to Clarity Project ID — pending project admin's approval."
Neither Karly nor Jeff could locate where to approve the request inside the Clarity interface, as no approval prompt appeared when logged in as a standard user.
The approval request email was sent to the team@asymmetric.app shared account, not to a personal email. Because no one was monitoring that inbox for this specific request, the approval sat pending indefinitely.
Mark logged into the team@ account, located the approval email, and confirmed the Shopify integration. The Clarity dashboard then showed "Successfully Installed" for the PaperTube project.
