Website Design Review & Next Pages — 2026-04-05
Overview
Design review session for the [1] website redesign. The team walked through all pages currently in progress on the Miro board, finalized a set of design refinements, and scoped five new pages for the next design sprint. A short check-in was scheduled for the following week before Kathy's vacation.

Key Decisions
Testimonial Layout
- Flip quote and attribution order on all testimonial sections: quote text first, then name/title below (not name first).
- Add quotation marks to all testimonial quotes.
- Rename section heading from "Testimonials" to something like "What People Are Saying".
- Apply consistently across homepage and any other pages using the testimonial component.
Resource Logos (Business Resources Page)
- Keep all resource logos the same size — no single logo should appear more prominent than others.
- Ordering priority: Nicolet College first, WEDC second, then remaining resources.
- The water/scenery photo below the resource logos stays; no copy needed on it.
Business of the Year
- Do not treat as a standalone program page. Place it under Business Success instead, since it is now an annual award rather than an active program.
Image Reuse
- Some image repetition across pages is acceptable given the limited photo library.
- Kathy will review available photos and flag any that show discontinued programs (e.g., business-of-the-month plaques) for replacement.
Events Page
- Remove references to other Northwoods organizations — this page should only feature Vilas County EDC Business and Community Events.
- Remove the duplicate sign-up form; retain only the relevant one.

Five new pages queued for design:
- Donate — Use the "Packers photo" Kathy provided; confirm horizontal crop viability or source an alternative.
- News — New page to be designed.
- Annual Report — Current reports live on the About Us page; new dedicated page to be created.
- Events — Clean up existing content; remove references to other organizations; update heading copy.
- Business of the Year — Fold into Business Success section rather than a standalone page.

Notes
- Miro board collaboration has been working well; Kathy is now comfortable navigating it independently. Keeping only the current board version (removing old iterations) significantly reduced confusion.
- Developer has been notified that design updates are incoming.
- When selecting photos, Kathy is balancing freshness against currency — avoiding images of businesses that may no longer be active or programs that have been discontinued.
- Content redundancy across pages is intentional in some cases for SEO; some visitors will only ever land on one page.
