AI-Generated Participant & Facilitator Guides
Overview
Once all course modules are finalized, participant guides and facilitator guides can be generated quickly using AI. The approach is to feed the completed course content directly into an AI tool and prompt it to produce the relevant guide type. This eliminates the need to author these documents manually and can reduce production time to minutes rather than hours.
This process was confirmed as the planned approach for the [1] once all 11 modules are complete.
When to Use This Approach
- All course content must be finalized before generating guides. The AI needs the complete, approved material to produce accurate output.
- Do not generate guides from draft or partially reviewed content — revisions to course material will require regenerating the guides.
- Applicable to any project that includes participant or facilitator guides as a deliverable.
Process
- Finalize all course modules. Ensure client review and approval is complete across every module.
- Compile course content. Gather the full text/content of all modules into a format the AI can read (e.g., exported text, copied content).
- Prompt the AI. Use a prompt such as:
- "Here are the finalized course modules. Please generate a participant guide."
- "Here are the finalized course modules. Please generate a facilitator guide."
- Review output. Check the generated guide for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client expectations.
- Deliver to client.
Notes
- Mark confirmed this approach in a December 2025 check-in: "We can do that with AI. And all you do with AI is you say, here are the courses and prepare me a participant guide. And in five minutes, it creates one."
- The Agility project proposal included participant and facilitator guides as deliverables. These were not separately scoped as manual writing tasks — AI generation is the intended fulfillment method.
- Scope discipline applies: do not produce additional guide formats or expanded deliverables beyond what is in the proposal without issuing a new proposal to the client.
