BluePoint ATM's sales team produces customized proposals for prospects across multiple industry segments. The existing workflow — editing cover photos directly inside Google Docs — proved cumbersome for designers and sales staff alike. The solution agreed upon in the [1] February 2026 marketing sync is a pre-designed cover library: one polished cover image per industry segment, stored in a shared folder, ready to drop into any proposal without further design work.
Swapping the cover photo on a Google Docs proposal requires repositioning images inside a format that is not design-friendly. When Mike Stebbins needed an airport-themed cover for a prospect proposal, the effort to replace the default image was enough friction to surface the issue in a client call:
"My biggest challenge is, with Google Docs, is changing that cover page… I want to put in that stock photo of a traveler carrying some luggage through an airport." — Mike Stebbins
Google Docs' limited layout controls mean even experienced users struggle to replace images cleanly, and Asymmetric's designers had encountered the same friction.
Create a library of segment-specific proposal covers — one pre-designed file per industry vertical — so the sales team only needs to select the right cover and adjust text fields (client name, date, rep name) rather than manipulate images.
Covers should map to the industry segments listed on the BluePoint ATM main website (post-redesign categories). The redesign renamed several segments — for example, "Tourist Attractions" became "Amusement Parks and Attractions" — so the cover library should use the updated category names to stay consistent with the site and state pages.
All covers confirmed in scope are for cashless ATM / reverse ATM proposals.
| Element | Decision |
|---|---|
| Primary color | BluePoint blue (preferred over grayscale per Mike's feedback) |
| Grayscale variant | Available as an option; noted as visually appealing but less on-brand |
| Text legibility | Ensure sufficient contrast — light-on-light combinations flagged as hard to read |
| Editable fields | Client name, date, rep name remain as text boxes; only the cover image is fixed |
