During the Q1 2026 strategy review, it was discovered that BluePoint ATM's website footer linked to old, inactive Facebook and Instagram accounts rather than the new active accounts being managed by Asymmetric. This created brand confusion — searching "BluePoint ATM" on Facebook surfaced the dormant page with its last post from 2020. The call produced a clear remediation plan covering account deletion, footer link updates, and X (Twitter) credential handoff.
BluePoint had two generations of social media accounts:
Because the footer pointed to the old accounts, any visitor clicking a social icon landed on a stale, unbranded presence. The new active accounts were effectively invisible from the website.
Additionally, X (Twitter) was listed as a social icon on the site but Asymmetric had never received login credentials and Go High Level's support for X posting was unconfirmed.
Asymmetric (Karly) to update the footer social icons to point to the correct, active accounts:
- New Instagram account (actively receiving posts)
- New Facebook page (actively receiving posts)
- X account (pending credential handoff and platform support confirmation)
This is a simple change and was flagged as high priority.
Wade to delete the old inactive accounts once he can access them. Before deletion:
- Download any archived assets or images that may be reusable
- Confirm these are the old accounts, not the new active ones
Merging old and new accounts was discussed and ruled out — Meta does not support account merging in practice.
