BluePoint Reverse ATM — Professional Photography Shoot
Overview
BluePoint ATM currently lacks high-quality, branded photography of their Reverse ATM machine. Existing image assets are low-resolution, feature competitor machines, or rely on AI-generated and dated stock imagery. A professional photoshoot of the fully branded Reverse ATM unit is needed to support email campaigns, one-pagers, blog content, social media, and other marketing materials.
This was identified as a blocking issue during the [1], where the team agreed to proceed with existing images only for the immediate stadium automation email campaign, deferring higher-quality assets to a planned shoot.
Problem
- Current product images are low-resolution and not suitable for professional marketing use
- Some images show competitor machines, not BluePoint-branded units
- Blog posts with high organic traffic (e.g., the "Reverse ATM benefits" post, which receives ~10x homepage traffic) use dated stock photos and AI-generated imagery that do not feature BluePoint's actual equipment
- Email campaigns are constrained to suboptimal visuals, undermining brand credibility
Proposed Shoot
BluePoint has a fully branded Reverse ATM unit available in their conference room. Wade noted access to a rentable photography studio space (run by "Grant") in the same building, which includes professional lighting and a white background backdrop — suitable for product photography without hiring an external studio.
Shot Types to Consider
- Hero product shots — clean white/neutral background, multiple angles
- In-use lifestyle shots — person interacting with the machine (side profile, hands on screen)
- Screen detail shots — BluePoint-branded UI visible on screen (not competitor or generic screens)
- Environmental/contextual shots — machine placed in a realistic venue setting (e.g., stadium concourse, retail floor)
Equipment Notes
- Professional camera preferred over phone cameras for print/web resolution requirements
- Wade mentioned knowing someone with access to professional camera equipment
- Avoid the optional blue bezel lighting accessory — standard default configuration is preferred for marketing materials to reflect what customers will receive
