The SOAR course is a new-hire onboarding program built for Agility Recovery. It combines a Rise 360 e-learning module with an Articulate Storyline co-pilot interaction, supported by a Facilitator Guide (FG) and Participant Guide (PG). Training is delivered virtually in a 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 format, making facilitator-led debriefs the primary learning mechanism.
Client contact: Gus Donelson (gus.donelson@agilityrecovery.com)
Internal lead: Isalia Ramirez
The core e-learning content is authored in Rise 360 and published to Agility Recovery's LMS. Terminology must align with Agility's business language — notably, the company uses "recovery" (not "remediation"), which reflects their core service offering. A labeled graphic in Lesson 1 was the site of a terminology error caught in stakeholder review; it has since been corrected.
A separate Storyline interaction serves as a co-pilot component. As of the review meeting, the storyline was approved by Gus with minor edits pending per a prior email exchange.
A guide for the trainer leading the session. The current version is structurally sound but needs expansion in two areas:
- Activity setup instructions — more detail to support facilitators who are not the original course designer
- Debrief sections — the highest-leverage learning moments in the 1-on-1 virtual format; should include suggested questions and expected discussion points
The FG is designed primarily for Gus but must be robust enough for other trainers to use independently.
A workbook-style document learners complete during training. It includes fill-in sections and activity prompts. Two versions are needed:
- Blank PG — distributed to new hires
- Facilitator Answer Key — a completed version of the PG for the trainer's reference, ensuring consistency and enabling handoff to other facilitators
| Decision | Rationale |
|---|---|
| Use "recovery" not "remediation" throughout | Aligns with Agility Recovery's brand and service terminology |
| Produce a separate facilitator answer key (completed PG) | Enables other trainers to lead the course; ensures consistency if Gus is unavailable |
| Expand FG activity setup and debrief sections | 1-on-1 virtual format makes debriefs the primary learning event; facilitators need scripted support |
| Keep FG structure as-is; expand content within it | Structure is appropriate for the delivery format; only depth needs improvement |
| Archive old LMS version rather than delete outright | Preserves review history for organizational clarity |
| Component | Status |
|---|---|
| Rise 360 module | Updated (remediation → recovery); publishing to LMS |
| LMS (old version) | To be deleted; review version to be archived |
| Facilitator Guide | In revision — expanding setup/debrief sections |
| Participant Guide (blank) | Gus sending to Isalia; no changes needed |
| Facilitator Answer Key | To be created by Isalia once PG is received |
| Co-pilot Storyline | Approved; Isalia making edits this week |
